Synopsis
Four aces and the joker shone whitely on the green cloth. "You cheated!" the drunken man said to Crockett. "You're a dirty cardsharp!" Crockett stood up. The look in his eyes was frightening. "Go home," he said. "I've taken all I'm going to take from you tonight." He spoke softly, but the voice had a steel edge to it. If Trent had not been drinking so hard he would have felt the steel in it. But he didn't and without warning he struck Crockett. Then Anne and the others in the room watched in horror as Crockett struck back like a trained professional killer.
